Operating principle: Non-firing model gun, can cycle cartridges and eject empty clip like real M1 Garand
M1 "Garand" Rifle was an excellent combat rifle in World War II that was chambered to powerful .30-06 rifle cartridge. It could engage targets effectively up to 400 meters and unlike many rifles of its time, it could fire semiautomaticly.
Perhaps the most distinquished feature of M1 was it's 8-round stripper clip that gave unique sound when ejected after last round was shot. This feature has been well reproduced in this non-firing model gun that can cycle and eject cartridges manually (cocking lever must be pulled to eject cartridge) until empty clip is ejected with the famous "ping!" sound.
M1 Garand was still used some twenty years later in Vietnam War where it was first used by early US military advisors and subsequently by Popular Forces, ARVN and other Free World military forces. For the latter it was distributed in wide scale even if it was rather bulky and heavy in recoil for the small statured Vietnamese soldiers.
This model gun features the following:
* Fully functional full metal and real wood construction giving it unmatched realistic appearance
* Fully field strippable, same takedown procedure as in real M1 Garand
* Identical loading operation as in real M1 Garand
* Can be loaded and cocked like real M1 Garand
* Dummy .30-06 cartridges will cycle and eject like real when you operate the cocking lever
* Empty clip will eject like in real M1 Garand and with authentic "ping!" sound!
We have supplied this highly realistic M1 Garand rifle to law enforcement demonstration units and reenactors among others. Comes with eight dummy .30-06 cartridges and a clip.
